Start UP!

  "A startup is a young company founded by one or more entrepreneurs to develop a unique product or service and bring it to market. By its nature, the typical startup tends to be a shoestring operation, with initial funding from the founder." Yep, that summarizes it beautifully for this apparel brand from Koloa, Hawaii. 

I know exactly where this startup is going to take us. But, in all honesty I don't have the clearest picture as to how we will arrive at our destination. Writing down your goals and vision is really the leap of faith you must take to get off the ground. On the daily early in the morning and late into the night it's all on my mind... the to do list, the to do list I don't even know I need to have, and the hurdles the business will have to overcome. "Just lean into it and others will join you" is what I keep telling myself. What is clear is my unwavering "spirit of CAN." I want so much to contribute to the greater good and for this to be the vehicle. It's giving me opportunity to overcome my "quiet desperation"  - Thoreau

Hopefully, I will bring some others along with me to rise up and contribute to advancing the human experience through focused mindset, and to not give into that "desperation". It might be minor, but it's worth battling the to do list of mundane infrastructure building; SEO, SKU's, imagery, CRM experience, email flows, sourcing (no more print on demand:( cash flows, taxes etc.

I really just want to get into the vision and messaging of the Science of CAN. These are concepts we want to push into the branding and partnerships to push out some curriculum. But, first we have to keep the brand charging and some badass merch flowing. A promise we're all in on it and leaning into it hard.
